Who Is La Plouc
My name is Luce Cavalchini, but in my creative world, I'm known as La Plouc. In French, it means “the tacky one” — yes, really!
The idea started as a joke while watching an episode of Emily in Paris, when a snobbish colleague greets Emily with a sarcastic “Bonjour, la plouc.” From there, a playful comment between cousins turned into a nickname — and that nickname became an identity. Because deep down, being a little unconventional is exactly what I love.
In 2021, during a university course, a professor asked us: “What if you could build your dream job from scratch?”
That question sparked the beginning of a project where I could finally bring together the things I’ve always loved: fashion, color, and painting. And so La Plouc was born — my creative alter ego, where I transform clothing, objects, and ideas into unique, hand-painted pieces.
Today, I work in fashion and luxury, with a background in communication, graphic design, and digital marketing. But La Plouc is my authentic self — the part that plays, experiments, and above all… isn’t afraid to stand out.
